Spoilers Below for Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief
Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan; 279 pages
Camp Half Blood is in trouble. Someone poisoned Thalia’s tree, the tree that protects the boarders of the camp. It is becoming increasingly easier for monsters to enter camp grounds. Soon, there may not be a camp anymore. Now it is up to Percy, Annabeth, and Percy’s recently acquired half brother Tyson to save Camp Half Blood and Grover in the process.
Yet another action packed book in the Percy Jackson saga. I loved the introduction of Tyson in this book. He was such a lovable character. I really wish I would have discovered these books sooner though. I keep having to remind myself that the characters are only 12-13 and that’s why they act childish sometimes. Otherwise, it was a solid story. I love the Greek mythology and the fact that it’s educational along with entertaining.
