The Eye of Minds by James Dashner

The Eye of Minds by James Dashner; 308 pages

Virtual reality is taking gaming to a whole new level, total body emersion into the game. Michael and his friend, Sarah and Bryson, are some of the best gamers and hackers out there. When people start disappearing and dying, Michael, Sarah, and Bryson are recruited by the VNS to figure out what is going on. Their mission, to find the gamer Kaine and figure out what he’s up to.

Books about video games and hacking and technology normally aren’t my thing. But holy s**t this book was fantastic! I loved the characters and the whole concept behind the book.

When I first started reading it I thought it seemed really similar to the movie Spy Kids: 3D, which it kinda was but in a totally darker way. It was fun following the characters through the games and along The Path. You never knew what was going to come next, well maybe you would if you were more tech savvy… But I’m not so it was fun to learn as I went.

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I highly recommend it!
