I wouldn’t classify it as one of the best movies I’ve ever seen but it was definitely good.
There was plenty of action to keep everyone happy. Definitely some cool work with some swords and axes. I enjoyed the humor of the movie. There were some laugh out loud funny moments and a lot of the lines kept you chuckling. The romance wasn’t overdone, which was very nice. So many movies try to make the romance so over the top that it doesn’t work but that wasn’t the case here.
I thought the acting was fantastic. Chris Hemsworth was funny and charming and badass as always. Jessica Chastain was such a badass! Her character was great! And she does a Scottish accent perfectly! Charlize Theron play the evil queen so well. She just has that eerie quality when she’s being super serious that makes her fascinating but intimidating. And I love Emily Blunt and I thought she was great as well.
The overall storyline was just okay. There wasn’t anything special about it. It wasn’t all that intriguing and never really had the “wow” moment. But that didn’t make the movie bad. It was just consistent throughout.
