A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro

A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro; 321 pages

Summary:

Jamie Watson is the descendant of the famous John Watson. He is sent to a school in Connecticut where he meets Charlotte Holmes, a descendant of Sherlock Holmes. When one of their classmates turns up murdered they must team up to prove their innocence and catch the killer.

My thoughts:

I enjoyed this book a lot more than I expected to! I really enjoyed the characters in the book. Charlotte and Jamie were the perfect Holmes and Watson, except as teenagers. And I like that they actually acted like teenagers, they weren’t made out to be mini adults in high school, and people actually treated them like the teens they were. The plot was easy enough to follow but elaborate enough to be a Sherlock Holmes story. It was fun and well written and I’m really looking forward to book 2!

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
